VIOS CUP Season 5 (Second Round)

The VIOS CUP second round blasted off a very successful racing event last weekend. From the deafening sounds of raw engines, that rolled around the vicinity of the race track, to the slashing roar of the race enthusiasts who watched it alongside and on live streaming.

This event has indeed left another mark in the history of the biggest racing here in the Philippines.

A veteran and experienced racer once said that the feeling of extreme excitement is never the same race after race... after race... Bryan Co, Aira Medrano and Raymond Ronquillo added another solid performance in the super sporting event (https://www.facebook.com/ToyotaMotorPhilippines/photos/a.1849929978376335.1073741843.238910182811664/1849937808375552/?type=3&theater) that everyone was waiting to watch and an enthusiast even call it “the clash of the great Filipino drivers”. That same event also took some wreckage to other drivers somewhere in the middle of the race which made the fans worried for a bit after seeing the momentary collision of their idol drivers.

It was a totally different second round spinning the wheels left and right around the track. The course is not identical to what they always take for most of the time back in Clark Speedway... and there's a bunch of heavy and light turns along the corners.

Years ago when VIOS CUP was held in Alabang, the racers took a lot of minor and major fender benders before seeing the checkered flag waving on the side... and it took more this time. You have to see the recorded videos for yourself to check the countless times the drivers took the blows to finish the race on their own.

It was a perfect timing for the race thinking that the rains are so unexpected these days. The drone shots were clear enough to take photos and videos without much intervention from a bad weather.

The event sponsors warmly extended their gratitude to those who gave their time and effort for the success of VIOS CUP.

Everybody is now looking forward to see the 3rd round of the 5th season in September. Will the champions remain champions? Or Are we going to see new faces taking the winning platforms on stage next time?
